Shaw’s Saddlery strives to be the premier retail tack store in California, the Bay Area, and the western United States. The top priority at Shaw’s Saddlery is customer service. Each store is lead by a dedicated, professional manager who has a wealth of experience within the horse community and spends much of their free time on and around their own horses. Shaw's Saddlery ~

Chris Shaw purchased his first store 1995. Since then he has grown the business into a multi-location retail establishment serving all of California. In his riding career, Chris was an Event rider and rode through the Advanced level. He has a background in Dressage as well as the Jumper industry. Chris served seven years on the national Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the USEA. Following that he served as a Trustee and Chairman of the USEA Endowment Trust for another Three years. Chris is married to his beautiful wife and is blessed with two fantastic daughters. Outside of running his business, Chris is an avid wing-shooter and enjoys hunting in Mexico and South America. He is passionate about baseball, reading the daily news paper, and gin martinis.



Becky McCully is Shaw's General Manager. Becky brings with her over thirteen years experience in the tack industry, and a thorough knowledge of both English and Western tack and equipment. Becky has been riding for over 25 years, has successfully shown FEI dressage in the past and currently competes throughout the West Coast in team roping. Becky joined Shaw’s Saddlery 13 years ago as a floor associate. Since then Becky has gone on to be Assistant Manager, Floor Manager, and now is the General Manager of Shaw’s Saddlery. Becky is responsible for all day-to day operations within the business. Becky completed her BS in Business and recently received her MBA from Sonoma State University. When she's not working or competing, Becky also enjoys trail riding, branding, snow skiing, and playing with her dog, cats, and horses.


Shaw's Cupertino ~

Tara Kraushaar is the store manager at the Cupertino store. With over 20 years of horse experience Tara has successfully competed in Western pleasure, drill teams, and also parades. Her drill team was named State Champions for four years in a row and was invited to the Rose Parade. Tara has been president of 4-H club the Woodcrest Pacers and also Secretary the in Arlington FFA. Her latest achievement is training her youngest horse “Ritzy” to be ridden for the first time. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding with her husband Jon and waterskiing. She graduated from the University of California Irvine with a Bachelors of Art. Her background is in customer service and retail management.


Shaw's Penngrove ~

Cindy Edwards is the Manager of the Penngrove location. Cindy has an extensive background in fashion, and has an eye for putting together outstanding show outfits. Cindy and her two children have previously shown on the Hunter/Jumper circuit, as well a dabbling in dressage. Currently she enjoys trail riding and learning to rope on her quarter horse Orlando. Cindy has been with Shaw’s Saddlery for three years and has filled a variety of roles in that tenure. She has been in purchasing, off-site sales, database management, and planning of our annual sale.



Eventing & Dressage Mobile Unit ~

Krissy Olson is the Manager for the Dressage & Event Mobile Unit. You can find Krissy up and down California at a variety of Dressage and Event Shows. Krissy brings with her a vast knowledge of Dressage and Event needs. Krissy has ridden for over 20 years, and has a ranch management background. Check out her schedule to see when she will be at a show near you!




Northern California Hunter Jumper Mobile Unit ~

Alison Cain has worked for Shaw’s Saddlery in a variety of roles going back almost nine years. She began as a sales assistant while in high school, an assistant manager while in university, and now returns to Shaw’s Saddlery as a Mobile Unit Manager specializing in the Hunter Jumper market in Northern California. Alison has a degree in Marketing and Communication from San Jose State University and has worked in the Public Relations industry. As a youth, Alison participated in the 4H program and rode on both the Arab and Quarter Horse Circuits. On the circuits, Alison rode both Hunt Seat and Western Pleasure. Alison has an excellent eye for color and fashion and is widely known on her Mobile Unit for matching coats and shirts. She also measures all brands of custom boots and chaps.
